West Ham ready to pay £34.5m to sign 13-assist left-back David Raum
West Ham United are allegedly interested in signing brilliant Hoffenheim left-back David Raum this summer.
That’s according to a report from BILD who claim that the Hammers are prepared to pay around €40 million (£34.5 million) to sign the 24-year-old full-back.
West Ham manager David Moyes desperately needs to sign a top-class left-back this summer.
Aaron Cresswell has been a fine servant for the Hammers over the past eight years, having arrived in East London for around £4 million from Ipswich Town in 2014 (Mirror).

The 32-year-old has regressed badly over the past six months, however, certainly from a defensive perspective. And bringing an upgrade on Cresswell to the London Stadium will be one of Moyes’s main priorities before the start of next season.
And it seems as though the Scot has his eye on someone in particular…
West Ham ready to splash the cash on David Raum
The Hammers want to sign the 24-year-old left-back from Hoffenheim this summer according to a report from BILD.
The problem is that Newcastle allegedly want to sign him as well.
Hopefully we go all out for the German. He would be a truly sensational addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium this summer.
Raum was in absolutely exceptional form for Hoffenheim last season.
He bagged three goals and 13 assists in 32 Bundesliga games (Transfermarkt). Not bad for a left-back huh!
The German is powerfully built and possesses impressive pace.
At 24, Raum is not even in the prime of his career. And he seems at the ideal stage to make the jump up from the Bundesliga to the Premier League.
£34 million sounds like a lot of money for the Hammers to be paying for a left-back. The 24-year-old Germany international would be more than worth it though.
The Hoffenheim ace would certainly be a massive upgrade on Aaron Cresswell, both defensively and in the final third.
If West Ham sign David Raum from Hoffenheim this summer, we will be in a very strong position heading into the 2022/23 campaign.
