Park Signs For Everton

Forward Jess Park has joined Everton on a season-long loan from Manchester City.

An exciting young talent, the 20-year-old’s arrival for 2022/23 marks the first signing in Brian Sorensen’s reign as Blues manager.

Having been with Manchester City since 2017, Park is one of England’s brightest young players.

She joins Everton with an eagerness to learn and a desire to develop her game to the next level.

“I’m really excited for the season,” Park told evertontv.

“Historically, this is a club known for developing young players – which I am – and I’m looking forward to being part of that process.

“I’ve played alongside some of the girls who have come through the ranks here like Jill Scott and Izzy Christiansen.

“I’m just really excited to meet the team and get started.”

Park added discussions with Everton manager Sorensen were a key factor in deciding to join the Toffees on loan.

“I’ve had a few conversations with Brian and after each one I have been left really impressed,” Park said.

“I’m an attacking player who likes to get the ball at my feet and run at players.

“I like to play with freedom, assist, score goals. Hopefully I can bring that to the team.

“I’m eager to start with Brian and learn his way of football.

Sorensen admired both the quality and personality Park possesses and is looking forward to working with her in the season ahead.

“I’m really pleased we could reach an agreement to bring Jess to the Club,” the manager said.

“She’s a top player and I’m glad we can help her develop even further over the course of this season.

“Her dribbling and passing are excellent. She understands the game well and she works incredibly hard.

“She can play both inside and outside on either wing. That flexibility is great for us.

“She’s a great person as well. Ella she’s mature, she knows what she wants and I’m happy to have a player like her at Everton. ”
