Liverpool star shows off incredible physique

Darwin Nunez announced himself as a Liverpool player with an incredible display against RB Leipzig on Thursday.

After failing to score in his first two pre-season outings, Nunez managed to record a four-goal haul against the German outfit.

The Uruguayan striker, who joined Liverpool in an £85m move from Benfica earlier this summer, came on at half-time and hit the back of the net four times in the second half.

Nunez and the Liverpool squad are now preparing for the Community Shield, which takes place against Manchester City on July 30.

Ahead of the match, Nunez and a few other members of Liverpool’s squad, including Luis Diaz, Kostas Tsimikas and Alisson Becker, went fishing on their day off.

And Nunez showed off his ripped physique in photos with his teammates.

The 22-year-old took to Instagram to post the images and you can view them below….

Nunez is looking in brilliant shape ahead of the new season. He clearly has the physique needed to perform in the Premier League.

Nunez shut a lot of critics up with his scintillating display against Leipzig.

The striker was trolled on social media for his performances against Man United and Crystal Palace.

And Robbie Fowler has come out in defense of the striker as he hit out at some of the ‘ludicrous’ comments.

“It was ludicrous to think that Nunez was being doubted after playing just a few minutes against Manchester United and Crystal Palace on the tour to Asia,” he wrote in his column for the Mirror, per the Liverpool Echo.

“He got a taste of what any big-money signing faces in football these days if they’re not scoring in every game – but it’s ridiculous.

“Nunez has come to Liverpool off the back of a fantastic campaign at Benfica, and Jurgen Klopp has bought him for the next few years, not for one pre-season.

“I’d seen that Klopp was perfectly happy with the way the lad has slotted in to the club and his performances in training. And if Klopp’s pleased that’s all that matters.”
