Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for “Halloween Ends,” the final film in the “Halloween” revival trilogy.
Filmmaker David Gordon Green and star Jamie Lee Curtis return following the well-received 2018 entry and last year’s more mixed reaction to the brutal second film “Halloween Kills”.
Events begin four years after that night as Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and is finishing writing her memoir. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since.
Laurie, after allowing the specter of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life.
But when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell), is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all .
With this film, Green, Curtis and producer/composer John Carpenter have teased it as a ‘departure’ from previous entries, saying it’s “going to make people very angry,” “shocking” and more.
Will Patton, James Jude Courtenay, Nick Castle, Kyle Richards, and Omar Dorsey also return while Michael O’Leary also stars. The film marks Curtis’ final turn as Laurie Strode which she played in seven films of the series.
“Halloween Ends” releases only in theaters on October 14th.
